The doctoral dissertation of MSc Jenie Gil Lugo, entitled Microbial processes responsible for the high N20 emissions from sub-arctic permafrost peatlands and tropical soils as determined by stable isotopes approaches will be examined at the Faculty of Science and Forestry. The opponent in the public examination will be Dr., Researcher Reinhard Well, Institute of Climate-Smart Agriculture, Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute, Braunschweig, Germany and the custos will be Professor Jukka Pumpanen, University of Eastern Finland. The public examination will be held in English.
