Amélie Saunier, PhD, post-doctoral researcher

Research area: chemical ecology, plant ecophysiology, biogenic volatile organic compounds

My main research topic is to understand how plants can cope with global change (warming, drought, polluted atmosphere) through modification of their chemistry and/or their gas exchanges and how these potential changes could impact interactions between plants and other organisms (plants, insects, microorganisms). My current work aims to determine if ozone exposure could modify the floral volatile emissions from several Brassicaceae species and what could be the effect on pollinators insects, mainly bumblebees (Bombus terrestris).
