4 June Creating transformational partnerships for food and nutrition security, Kuopio

This seminar will address examples of innovative models for collaboration in addressing food security, focusing on current action to address malnutrition and undernutrition and the opportunities for public and private sector collaboration. Issues on transparency and accountability are also presented. Discussions will also explore how new partnerships can make a difference in advancing food security and what African and Finnish partners can learn from each other's best and practices in effective engagement. The event will also include a roundtable discussion centering on practices that could support research collaboration between African and Finnish partners focused on such issues as enhancing livelihoods and rural development, impacts of climate change on food security, technology and knowledge transfer, capacity building and information management. The seminar is organized by University of Eastern Finland in cooperation with FinCEAL.
