The University of Eastern Finland maintained its place in the annual ranking list published by Times Higher Education. In the 2012 ranking, the University of Eastern Finland was ranked among the world’s leading 350 universities, like last year.
Out of other Finnish universities, the University of Helsinki lost its place among the world’s leading 100 universities (and was ranked 109th). Aalto University was ranked among the world’s leading 300 universities (in the rank range of 251–275), and the University of Tampere was ranked in the same range as the University of Eastern Finland, i.e. 301–350. The University of Jyväskylä was placed in the rank range of 351–400.
The University of Eastern Finland has done well in all the three university rankings published this autumn. In the QS World University Rankings 2012, the UEF was ranked 302nd and in the Academic Ranking of World Universities by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the UEF was placed among the 401–500 leading universities in the world.
